ATTRACTIVE prizes await participants of the children’s colouring contest to be held in conjunction with the Penang Pesta Dragon Open Boat Race at the coastal seafront of Queensbay Mall.

Organising committee chairman Johny Chee said the contest would be held to attract more young children to the dragon boat race.

The contest, to be divided into two groups (Group A for Year One to Three, and Group B for Year Four to Six) will be held at the mall’s outdoor parking lot on Dec 7.

“It is a good opportunity for parents and children alike to attend the event as previous dragon boat races had been held at Teluk Bahang Dam which is too far for many people,” he said.

Top three winners for Group A will walk away with RM150 cash, RM100 cash and RM50 respectively while top three winners for Group B will receive cash prizes of RM200, RM150 and RM100 respectively.

The event is organised by the Penang Tourism, Culture, Arts and Heritage Committee.
